As a small, independently-owned business, our hours may vary a bit if we need to take a sick day, spend time with family, or go out of town for a few days. In the winter, we may also close due to inclement weather. All schedule changes will be posted here on our website, as well as on Facebook and Instagram. If you're making a special trip to see us - thank you! But please check our website ahead of time for any changes to our schedule.

If you’re familiar with Middletown, we’re centrally located on Route 211 between the old O&W train station and Thrall Park.

For driving directions, we recommend Google Maps.

Street parking is available across from the store on the west-bound side of Route 211. You can also park in the small dirt lot along the railroad tracks.

Yes! The Middletown local bus service has three stops within walking distance.

If you're traveling on Route 1, exit the bus at the intersection of Wickham Avenue and North Street, and walk 1.5 blocks east.

If you're traveling on Route 4, exit the bus at the intersection of Cottage Street and Wickham Avenue and walk 1.5 blocks west.

You can also get to us directly from the central Railroad Avenue Terminal by walking three blocks north along Cottage Street, and making a left onto Wickham Avenue.

Yes! As a primarily used bookstore, we rely on your donations and appreciate your generosity. However, there are some restrictions on what we can accept due to our limited storage capacity. Please review our Donation and Trade-In Policy before bringing in books.

Yes! We accept cash, credit, debit, Apple Pay, Venmo, and Cash App in store.

Yes! If we don’t already have what you’re looking for, we’d be happy to order it for you! Special orders must be paid for in advance, and can be picked up in store or shipped directly to you. (Standard shipping rates apply.)

Most of our used books are available in store only, but select titles can also be found on our eBay page.

For new books, we’ve teamed up with Bookshop.org to bring new releases directly to your door, or you can find over 400,000 audiobooks on Libro.fm. Purchases made through these links directly support our store.

Yes! You can pick up a gift card in store for any amount. Gift cards are also available through Bookshop.org and Libro.fm for customers who prefer to shop online or listen to audiobooks.

We would love to give to every local organization that asks. However, we receive an overwhelming number of requests for donation and as a small, family-owned business, we have very limited funds available. Priority will be given to local community members who shop at and support our store. Requests for donations can be emailed to hello@wellwornbooks.com; however, we may not be able to grant every request. Thank you for your understanding.

Looking for somewhere to host your book club, game night, group meeting or tutoring session? The bookstore is available for private use outside of business hours at an affordable rate, and can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people. Contact us for more information or to set something up!
